What can art be? And what happens when we approach it without preconceived answers? The Mönchehaus Museum invites you to engage with contemporary art in a playful, inquisitive way, bringing your own ideas to the table. We take a close look, ask unusual questions, experiment with materials and create our own works – with plenty of scope for imagination, individuality and a spirit of discovery.
For each of our current main exhibitions, we develop a specially tailored educational programme featuring creative workshops and fresh inspiration. In addition, we offer general, individually bookable activities for groups, school classes and curious visitors of all ages, enabling them to experience art in a variety of ways.
The Mönchehaus Museum is home to a very special place: the ‘Atelier für Alle’ (Studio for Everyone). It is our central space for educational activities, experimentation and interaction. Workshops, talks and our own special exhibitions take place here – a free space where you can move about, experiment and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
You can find our current events on the homepage.
